What is Unturned?

Unturned is an open-world zombie survival sandbox game. As one of the few not yet turned, you must fight to remain among the living. Playable offline solo, in LAN co-op teaming up with friends and family, or online in intense multiplayer.

  • Survive the apocalypse: Scavenge for supplies, hunt for food, and build shelter in a world overrun by zombies.
  • Explore massive levels: Travel by air, land, and sea while discovering hidden secrets and NPCs to help and trade with.
  • Build your home: Fortify your base before heading back out to retrieve airdrops, scout deadzones, and battle hordes of supernatural undead.
  • Cooperate or fight: Team up with friendly players to arrest the bandits, or face-off in intense PvP raids.
  • Truly free-to-play: No pay-to-win mechanics, only cosmetic items to further customize your character.
  • Endless creativity: Create, share, and experience custom maps and mods through the Steam Workshop.

When did Unturned release?

Unturned entered Early Access on , and fully released on . It's still receiving updates with new content, features, and improvements.

How can I share ideas and feedback?

We love receiving feedback, thank you! Whether it's through emails, comments, or online posts, we do our best to read and consider as many as possible, even if we aren't able to respond to all of them. Steam Discussions, Reddit, Discord, or any of our official channels are all great places to share ideas.

How can I contribute to the game?

Unturned has a long history of official modding support, and creating mods and custom maps is a great way to contribute to the game and share your ideas with other players. We often promote community-made creations in-game, and have collaborated with modders on many major content updates.

In the future, we're looking to make the game's source code available which may open more opportunities.

Can you remove my VAC or BattlEye ban?

We have zero-tolerance for cheating. If you believe your ban was issued incorrectly, please refer to our support article on multiplayer bans. It covers the different types of bans and the support options available.
